GMP for Food
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) identifies the fundamental principles of food hygiene and safety applicable to food processing. The Ministry of Health’s (MOH) Food Safety & Quality Division in Malaysia has established MS 1514 GMP as the minimum standard for domestic manufacturers to ensure they produce safe food, cosmetics, traditional medicine and health supplements.
As the backbone of all significant Food Safety Management Systems, including HACCP and ISO 22000, this guideline applies to all aspects of manufacturing, from accepting incoming raw materials to delivering products to customers.
